Wow, I need to update more often. Unfortunately my computer at home is on the floor in the basement being unused at the present and the network at work won’t let me blog so I have to do a rough draft in word and then quickly paste it before I’m locked out. This can be a little difficult as I don’t have the time to sit down and write it all down at once. I need to work too.
So, here I am, updating after a few months.
Late March brought a Tae-Kwon-Do tournament in which we all competed. Our belt testing was done earlier in March and we do not have the results yet. ~hint, hint~
My spring has been quite eventful. My little girl had her 7th birthday party in Harry Potter style. Thanks to some of our substitute parents, it went off without a hitch. Thanks again Sam & Sam, Alex & Mandi, and my Dent.
I lost my new truck L and that is all I’m saying on the matter.
My sister started dating my daughter’s father. UNCOMFORTABLE, but not such a bad thing.
One of my closest friends is getting married (finally) and I’m in her party. I asked her to be my maid of honor for my wedding
I got three years off my engagement!! (We are now down to five years from eight. My goal is three years). I wonder if I should lend my vehicles out more often. I could be married in no timeJ.
My little one has decided she would like to learn cursive writing. She made the decision all on her own and I printed up some worksheets offline that she has eagerly been working on. Absolute opposite of her mother.
I have been working on my yard. I finally got a nice flower bed put in. Shrubs, birdhouses, birdfeeders, and a water garden complete with fish and ornamental grasses to come soon. I’m not your typical girly girl but I love gardens. Something about working together with nature. I love nature so it isn’t unusual for me to want it in my yard in a nice harmony with everything else. My favorite place to be in warm weather is outside and this is just another excuse to be there instead of in the house. Nothing like coming home from work, lighting a fire in the pit, sitting in my nice landscaped yard listening to the water trickle, the fish jump, and the loons out on the lake serenading you while you sip your wine and put up your feet. It is really nice being up here. Other than a few small disturbances from the neighbors, it is so quiet and refreshing. My next big goal after getting married is to build a cabin out of town as a permanent residence. I love our house, but just a bit more seclusion would be paradise to me.
My little girl, Dent, and his little girl are going to be spending some nice time together this summer. We are all very excited about it. I promised to keep Dent off the road as much as possible this summer.
And that’s all for now folks. Sorry for the infrequent updates but nice weather is here and I don’t like being cooped up inside so another update may be months away. Have a nice summer all!!!!!
